Definitions

There are three main categories: identities, advertising structure, and others.

Identities

There are two main identities in Koah: advertisers and publishers. Knowing which one you are will help you navigate the documentation and understand how to get started.

Advertisers

Advertisers are businesses, organizations, or individuals who want to promote their products or services through Koah's AI ad network. As an advertiser, you:

  • Create and manage advertising campaigns
  • Set budgets and targeting parameters
  • Provide ad content and creative materials
  • Track campaign performance and ROI
  • Pay for ad placements within AI applications

Publishers

Publishers are the owners and operators of AI applications who integrate Koah's SDK to monetize their platforms. As a publisher, you:

  • Integrate Koah's SDK into your AI application
  • Provide placement opportunities for advertisers' content
  • Earn revenue from displaying ads to your users
  • Maintain control over ad placement and formatting
  • Access analytics about ad performance on your platform

Publisher ID

A publisher ID is a unique identifier assigned to your company when you register with Koah. This ID serves two key purposes:

  1. Allows Koah to track your application's performance and revenue
  2. Enables your application to fetch relevant ads from the Koah network

Advertising Structure

Understanding campaigns, ad groups, and ads is essential for effectively managing your advertising on Koah.

Campaigns

Campaigns are the highest level of organization for your advertising efforts. They represent your overall marketing objectives and strategies, such as building brand awareness, driving app installs, or generating leads. Campaigns help you track performance and budget at a strategic level across multiple ad groups and individual ads.

For example, if you're launching a new product for your skin care brand, you might create a "Skin Care Launch" campaign to coordinate all marketing activities around that launch, including different ad groups targeting various customer segments.

Ad Groups

Ad groups are sets of ads that work together. They let you control who sees your ads and how much money you spend. Instead of setting these things for each ad separately, you can set them once for the whole group. This makes it easier to manage multiple similar ads.

Ads

Ads are the actual content units that get displayed to users. They represent the creative elements - whether text, image, or other formats - that your audience will see.

Koah primarily focuses on text-based ads with various ad formats available to suit your needs.

Other Terminology

Clicks

A click occurs when a user interacts with an ad by clicking on its hyperlink. This represents a key conversion point, indicating direct engagement with your advertisement and potential interest in your product or service.

Impressions

An impression occurs when a hyperlink appears on a user's screen to count as an ad being shown. This represents a display of your advertisement and counts towards your campaign's impression metrics.
