Koah Pixel
The Koah pixel is a piece of code that you can add to your website to track visitors' conversion actions.
Prerequisites
- Access to your Koah advertiser dashboard to retrieve your unique advertiser ID
- A little technical skill — if that’s not in your wheelhouse, send this guide to a developer
- The interactive guide in your dashboard is the easiest way to install
Installation
Get your pixel code
First, log in to your Koah advertiser dashboard, visit the pixel setup page, and locate your pixel code. It will look like this:
<!-- Koah Head Pixel Code -->
<script>
!(function(w,d){if(!w.kad){var p=(w.kad=function(){p.sendEvent?p.sendEvent.apply(p,arguments):p.queue.push(arguments);});p.queue=[];var t=d.createElement("script");t.src="https://app.koah.ai/pixel.js",t.async=!0;var s=d.getElementsByTagName("script")[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s);}})(window,document);
kad("init", "YOUR_ADVERTISER_ID");
kad("track", "PageView");
</script>
<!-- Koah Body Pixel Code -->
<noscript>
<img height="1" width="1" style="display:none"
src="https://app.koah.ai/kad/e?id=YOUR_ADVERTISER_ID&ev=PageView&noscript=1"
/>
</noscript>
Replace YOUR_ADVERTISER_ID with your actual advertiser ID from the Brand settings page in your dashboard.
Add the pixel to your website
Copy the entire pixel code and paste the head and body pixel code between the <head> and <body> tags on every page of your website where you want to track conversions.
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<!-- Koah Pixel Code -->
</head>
<body>
<!-- Koah Body Pixel Code -->
<!-- Your website content -->
</body>
</html>
Add more events
By default, the Koah pixel automatically tracks PageView events when the page initially loads. You'll need to add other events you want to track, such as purchases, signups, and leads.
To do this, add the following snippet to run when the event occurs:
kad("track", "EVENT_NAME", {[additional event parameters]})
Verify your installation
- Visit a page where you installed the pixel
- Trigger the event(s) you installed tracking for
- The Koah installation helper on your dashboard will confirm if the pixel is installed correctly
Best practices
- Install the pixel on all pages of your website for comprehensive tracking
- Test your pixel implementation before launching campaigns
- Choose the most relevant supported event name that aligns with your business goals
- Include relevant parameters (like value and currency) for purchase events
